Rip Snortin's Story

Rip Snortin' was started in February of 1995 as Rip Snortin' Racing. The original members were Mike Kraus, Phil Tousey, Chris Kraus, Scott Plummer, and Mike Vandenheuvel. About one year later, Brian "the pimp" Kopischke joined and the club was divided into Rip Snortin' Motorsports and Rip Snortin' Custom Concepts. From that point the club started to really grow and got a little out of control. At one point there was somewhere around 40 members, some good and some bad. After a little while, some of the members decided that they needed more attention and wanted more out of a club. Others chose to stay and grow with the club as a family.

In 2004, Rip Snortin' changed names again. This time instead of having 2 separate parts of the club we went back to one club name for all of the members. That is when we came up with the name we have today: Rip Snortin' Central Wisconsin.

The majority of our members are from the Fond du Lac area, but we have members from other areas of Wisconsin. Alot of the current members have kids and families and don't want to be in a club that controls what each members does and sets standards for the vehicles in the club. This is where Rip Snortin' came up with the motto... "Rip Snortin' - more of a 'family' than a bunch of car guys."
